Can i use a facial trimmer on faux fur?

Q: I am making a horse quadsuit and am wondering if I can use a facial hair trimmer on it. I have this one http://www.walmart.com/ip/Norelco-G370-T rimmer/5184607 and thought it would be easier to use than scissors and a comb!

A: It might work great. Test it on an inconspicuous area first to see if it snags/pulls the fur out.
