Will a dull electric shaver cause ingrown hairs?
[2008-01-13 08:48:54]

I have a Braun 8595 that is a bit over 2 years old now. Have always enjoyed shaving with this razor because i have found it to cause much less irritation then using a blade. I have taken good care of the shaver but will admit that i am passed the 18mo

not sure about ingrown hairs, but it would do you good to replace it anyway, for hygene issues and such.

Important Tips On Selecting Electric Shavers | Shaving Tips

In case you are tired with the time put in shaving your face, then take a look at the handheld electric shaver that virtually halves the shaving time. Typically there’s no need for using shaving cream or water while using the electric shaver. Also, the probabilities of slashes or perhaps nicks while shaving tend to be extremely small and therefore the issue of any after-shave medical interest doesn’t arise.

Almost all models of electric shavers are quite compact and travel friendly. Therefore contemplate, never having to fool with shaving cream or perhaps those little unsightly tissue paper wads in order to deliver clotting for nicks. Just imagine owning more time each and every morning or while getting prepared simply mainly because you do not have as much involved with what must be a basic job; removing hair from your face.

The electric shavers can be classified into the rotary and foil categories. In the rotary type shavers, the cutters have got three or four rotating heads. The oscillating cutters found in the foil type shavers possess 1 or 2 floating heads. The operation of the rotary form shaver is very silent and as well it’s quite quick to cleanse. Decide on a foil form shaver if you happen to be looking for a close shave.Nearly all varieties of electric shavers are of the cordless type, be it the rotary or the foil type. The charger coming with the battery operated electric shavers charge them in double quick time. When they are completely charged, the electric shavers have capacity to keep charge for extended periods and you don’t need to bother with charging the shaver upon an everyday basis. The shavers come with many attractive capabilities such as the additional set of trimmers, self-cleaning mechanisms and so on that would depend on the product chosen.

Your best option, i believe, is to pick up one of those shavers that they use in hairdressers. (like when you ask for a "number 1") They'll take it off without damaging the skin.

DO NOT use a normal electric
