It can irritate the skin when used on the face,depending on the length of stubble, but for something to keep in your office desk drawer before a late meeting, it does the job. I like it mostly for doing the back of my head though, I use it against the grain after first shaving along the grain with a blade, and it works great, especially in small areas I may have missed.
