Which is better for razor bumps (ingrown hairs) on the neck, electric shavers or blades?
[2008-02-05 07:38:39]

Any suggestions? I get razor bumps around my neck area, currently using a blade (mach 3), will changing to an electric razor cause more problems or help?

don't try to shave over ingrown hairs. You need to put warm compress on the skin and then exfoliate to remove the skin covering the hair if it's not to deep. Use a loofah and maybe a mild facial scrub or something. Then always make sure your skin is soft

Will an electric razor help with ingrown hairs?

I use a Mach 3 now and it has worked best so far but I still have trouble with ingrown hairs. Has anyone has success with electrics? How about different gels and aftershaves?

generally the electric razor won't give you as close as a shave and thus your chance of getting ingrown hairs will be reduced - you may have to shave more often
