Q: I used to use Norelco rotary shaver but got a top of the line Braun shaver for Christmas.
I've used it for 2 months and I don't think I'm getting as close of a shave with the Norelco.
I get more nicks with Braun though, so
A: Shaving first thing in the morning BEFORE washing your face is important, shaving with it daily is pretty critical as well. Outside of that, I haven't found that there is any other methodology to improve results with it. I've used the Braun with + without
I have a huge problem with shaving, my skin seems to be really really sensitive and I have a problem with ingrown hairs and white heads on the lips and razor bumps, everything.
I have an electric Braun foil shaver but my skin doesn't like
There are two types of dry shavers: foil and rotary. The one most closely like a straight razor as far as closeness is concerned are the foil shavers, like the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver . Rotary shavers do better at getting the longer hairs on your face and dealing with the trickier areas of your face like your chin.
It goes without saying that straight razors shave closer than both the foil and rotary shavers. It goes without saying that a problem with manual razors is that you are wounding your face every time you use it. This is because when you are shaving you are removing the top layer of your skin. Additionally they produce nicks, cuts and abrasions. In order to have healthy skin on your face you should be using a foil or rotary shaver. Let’s take a look at the two shavers.
A survery found that a slight majority of men would rather have a foil shaver instead of a rotary shaver since they irritate the skin less. A weak point of the foil shaver is that it is easier to break. Rotary shavers a tougher to break but are also harder to clean. Testers at Which? found that their isn’t a whole lot of difference of the two types of shavers. But a review by Australia’s Choice magazine found that the foil shavers are preferred overall. At the top of the list is the Braun Series 7 790cc shaver .
...I am thinking about getting the Braun Series 7- 790cc Pulsonic Shaver or the Philips Norelco arcitec 1090 Men's Shaving System. These are the two best foil and rotary shavers to date and I was wondering which one gives a closer shave and is better overall?
