Hi. Help me to solve questions on specific heat capacities.

1) An electric kettle rated at 1.5kW has a heat capacity of 840 J/K and contains 1.7kg of water( Specific heat cap = 4.2x10^3 J/KgK). If the kettle takes 435s to warm up from 10degree

1)
a)Let the total Energy in J received by the kettle and the water be E.
E = 1.5*1000*435 = 6.525*10^5 J

b)The amount of heat energy lost, "EL" to the surroundings = E - H where H is the heat received by the

Input for my home bar, honest and constructive opinions. ?

I am building an Apothecary styled bar: a wall adorned with odd jars and spices, all from around the world… I hand mix them in various mortars and blend rare tastes to create interesting drinks for friends and family. I will state now that I am not interested in beer or wine (that will be another question). In regards to mixers I want to hear nothing about them. I make my own from scratch with all natural ingredients, with the exclusions of certain items, such as Angostura Bitters… I think one can get the gist.

Now for the fun part. I Have a few bottles of top-shelf liquors and some low end ones for when friends feel like getting drunk on cheap summer party or camping booze. I am looking to spend about 125-200.00$ more in order to boost my mid/low end liquor selection. I just purchased Fireball Whisky, Kraken Black Spiced Rum, Parrot Bay 90 Proof Coconut Rum, Jim Beam Red Stag, 4 bottles of various flavored Smirnoff vodkas, and a few bottles of HRD Root-beer Schnapps (it was on sale for 5 per fifth and my girl loves the stuff). Hitting the green target

Jersey's Energy Efficiency Service say they've helped more than 700 island homes become greener over the past two years.

The States-run group install things like loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, hot water tank and pipe insulation, heating control, draft proofing and low energy lamps to help save islanders money on their energy bills.

The scheme is available to islanders on income support and some over 65s.

The Energy Efficiency Service (EES) was launched by Planning & Environment Minister in April 2009.

It is funded by an annual budget of £1million from the States and a one-off payment of £500k from JEC.

Already 735 homes have been helped through the Home Energy Scheme, measures expected to save over 13,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide over their lifetime and give average savings of £240 per year on energy bills.

Here are the top 10 tips on how to save energy from the Energy Saving Trust.
