Q: I'm a 13 year old guy(just turned 13), and I've already shaved twice(only my mustache), first with a razor and second with an electric shaver. So does shaving with a razor make my mustache darker, thicker, etc.? Does shaving with an electric shaver make
A: They both produce the same results - remove the hair. Nothing will make the hair darker or thicker.
I have just started shaving using a razor blade. Ive heard electric shavers are good especially if you dont want razor burns and cuts. MY dad has a thick beard and i suppose ill be like him Which electric shavers are best for thicker and harder hair....rotary
I am always cutting up my neck with razors. I have tried expensive brand single, double, triple and 4 blades. I have thick hair growth on my neck that goes in different directions and am tired of tearing up my neck and bleading. Is there a good electric razor for a guy like me. I have never had one???????????
Mike, I understand completely! My facial hair is thick too, in some areas there is more then one hair growing out of the follicle! For this reason, I too find it virtually impossible to use a regular razor. If it ain’t ripping my face to shreds it digs in to the hairs and stalls, then it is like I am ripping the hair out of my face!

We can’t all be Burt Reynolds, with full, lustrous bumper crops of upper-lip hair. But most guys can muster at least some form of ‘stache.
Alan Brown is master barber at Garrison’s , a nine-month-old barber shop located above White Squirrel Coffee, south of Trinity Bellwoods Park, where customers can drink complimentary bottles of beer in bright, airy surroundings while they sit for old-style hot-towel shaves (and decidedly more of-the-moment haircuts). He has a few recommendations.
“A lot is to do with the width between nose and lip. If you’ve got a pretty wide upper lip, I would grow a thicker moustache to fill it out,” he said. Thin upper lips, meanwhile, can benefit from thinner moustaches.
Moustaches can also grow or shrink to coexist with more unusual faces. “If it’s an upturned lip, you might not want to accentuate that too much,” said Brown. “Try and cover it up with the moustache.”
I am 17, a senior in high school. I shave every day, but my hair is not extremely thick or crowded around my face. Are electric shavers more for people that grow thick hair and will grow a beard in a day or two? Should I stick to a simple manual shaver?
