Well, we’ve arrived at the most tried and true form of hair removal: a safety razor blade and shaving cream/foam/gel. It’s the most effective way to get a silky smooth look, but it can also be the most dangerous. Using a razor on your chest and legs is pretty straight-forward (lather with shaving cream, and stroke away), but you have to be extremely delicate when shaving your private parts.

Before shaving the delicate areas, trim the vicinity with an electric razor, then take a shower or bath first to soften up the hair and make it easier to remove. Even though commercials make them look intimidating, multiple-blade razors are safer and more effective than single-blade disposables, which dull easily and increase the chance of nicks.

If putting a Mach17 razor blade on your junk sounds too frightening, maybe start off with a women’s razor (which are usually built to handle more curvy surfaces) or try prep razors such as Gallant (the kind of razors used in tattoo parlors and hospitals).
