Q: Im getting braces in 3 weeks and I really want to clean my teeth great! Except I don't know what good electric toothbrush to get that is under 100$ Please Help Me!
A: Sonicare!
I'm 14 and have decided that I want the Oral-B SmartSeries 5000 electric toothbrush for Christmas. But, I remembered that I'm getting braces January 13th. Is it okay to use an electric toothbrush with braces?
Thanks in advance and I do choose
Using a regular toothbrush with braces is sufficient to keep your teeth nice and clean. Personally, I really like my Sonicare toothbrush. However, most electric toothbrushes, such as the Braun Oral-B do a a good job as well. I think the electric toothbrushes make cleaning easier and leave your braces and teeth cleaner than manual toothbrushes. If you haven't used an electric toothbrush before this, you may want to consider getting one. You will need to buy new brush heads more often than normal, but it's worth it.
It’s that time of year, and following Halloween, trick-or-treaters can bring their excess candy to Lexington Smile Studio and receive $1 per pound. Dr. Fawn Rosenberg is again leading the anti-decay movement by giving away dollars and glowing electric toothbrushes in exchange for cavity-provoking candy.
Last year Rosenberg far surpassed her goal to collect more than a ton of candy, amassing a whopping 2,800 pounds of the sweet stuff, which she sent to U.S. troops in Iraq along with toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, and letters from local schoolchildren.
“It’s always a good idea to avoid sugary treats if possible. And at this time of year when there is so much candy available to children, we want to provide a worthwhile alternative. Visiting your dentist twice a year and brushing daily are great preventative measures, but doing away with excess sweets altogether would really give your teeth a healthy boost,” said Rosenberg. “Kids can still have all of the fun of trick-or-treating, and now their piggy banks will benefit as well. Plus, these glowing brushes we’re giving out are really awesome — they’re like light sabers for your mouth.”
Enough said. Currently using chainbands and metal wire. I don't want to damage anything.
